About Us

Established in 2023, GriefSPACE is a virtual and in-person sanctuary dedicated to supporting individuals through their journey of loss and wellness. We emphasize the inclusion of non-death loss experiences in our sanctuary. We provide a curated safe space for participants to acknowledge their grief, integrate it into their daily lives, and find restoration through community support and wellness practices.

Our Vision

To be a nationwide loss sanctuary that transforms how people experience and integrate grief, promoting holistic wellness and community connection.

Do not wait for the perfect conditions to reconstruct your life after loss.

The Founder of GriefSPACE

Tairesha "Sunflower" Flemister is a dedicated and innovative licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) with over eight years of diverse experience spanning human services, child welfare, human development, clinical practices, and holistic wellness. Her diverse background is anchored by a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Armstrong State University and a Master of Science in Social Work from Kennesaw State University, where she graduated with honors. Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D. in Advanced Studies in Human Behavior, with a focus on loss, grief, and restorative practices—a theme deeply intertwined with her professional and volunteer endeavors.

Sunflower’s career is a testament to her commitment to integrating traditional social work with holistic practices. As the founder of "All in the Neighborhood" and the Holistic Loss and Reconstruction Coach, she specializes in supporting individuals through relational and spiritual trauma using sound baths, reiki, and holistic consultations, which offer tailored therapeutic support that embraces mind, body, and spirit wellness. Her work is not limited to individual healing; she extends her services to schools and corporate settings, emphasizing the importance of mental wellness in all areas of life. She also serves as an integrative therapist for a virtual intensive outpatient program, where she teaches hundreds of clients these same tools.

Sunflower’s volunteer work, such as facilitating group counseling for children at Camp Magik and leading wellness workshops for educators, showcases her dedication to service and her belief in the power of restorative practices to reframe traumatic experiences. Sunflower’s unique blend of clinical knowledge, holistic healing practices, and a deep understanding of human behavior makes her a compassionate and effective advocate for those navigating the challenges of loss and grief.
